This Defrag Manager ActiveX 2.3.2 is a DLL control that helps do quick and easy integration of fast defrag of local drives. It supports the FAT 16/32, and NTFS file systems. Besides defragmentation being useful to system performance, this has advanced disk optimization techniques used that remedy your system sluggishness and crashes caused by disk fragmentation. Disk fragmentation makes system slow. That is due to the fact that as time goes, disk sector allocation becomes more and more non sequential. Thus the disk will have to seek out the next segment only after a small amount of data has been transferred to the machine. Seek times being comparatively longer disk fragmentation leads to system slowdowns, there will be increased incidences of crashes and slow startups and shutdowns.
Defrag Manager ActiveX 2.3.2 implements fast defragmentation of modern hard disks. Defrag Manager ActiveX also supports RAID drives. The code package provides examples of source code that help integration of the ActiveX to your application. The DLL is quite extensive and takes care of error handling and manages many of the properties and many of exception events. Methods available include ones that helps start of scanning, aborting a scan, defrag start and abort, and clear parameters. Some of the events provided include events related to start of scan, finish of scan, scan abort and similarly events related to defrag operations. Most relevant parameters have been taken care of.
